RateDiary Facebook Contest

RateDiary Facebook Drawing

At RateDiary, we’re nothing if not attentive, and we have noticed something very odd.

While our Twitter contest has over 40 likes in 11 days, our Facebook contest has a grand total of… 1 like. And that “like” was us.

So, our greatest minds got on the case, analyzing the situation backwards, forwards, sideways, and in every diagonal direction you could think of, and came up with a startling conclusion.

The Facebook contest was too complicated.

Therefore, we have revised the Facebook contest, along with the rules of it, as follows.

The prize is the same as before, an Apple iPad, but this time, getting a chance at it is a lot simpler. The first step has already been followed by about 39 people. Don’t worry guys, this step includes all people who have already followed it, as well as all people who follow it for the next 90 days.

What is the magical first step? “Like” RateDiary on Facebook. Simple as that.

The second step isn’t much harder, take this Note (on Facebook) and Share it on your public Facebook feed, to let other people know about our great contest.

So, to recap

  1. “Like” us on Facebook
  2. Share this note on your public Facebook feed

This contest has a deadline! On May 26, 2013 the clock stops. We will collect all names of people who have completed the two simple tasks we have assigned them. All those usernames go into a party bag (We would have used a fancy hat, but the fancy hat has a contract with our Twitter contest) and one is pulled out. That person is the winner!

Much easier, don’t you think? And hey, if you share the note with a creative message, we might even collect it to display in a list on our page. We love a good chuckle, and we’re sure your friends will appreciate something clever as well.

Looking forward to seeing what you have to say!

RateDiary Twitter Contest

Did we mention we want to kick off RateDiary big?

We want to kick off RateDiary BIG.

So not only do we have our RateDiary Facebook contest, but we are now unveiling a RateDiary Twitter contest!

Whoever wins this is absolutely going to be a lucky winner, so the prize is a little smaller, but not too much smaller.

We’re talking about a free iPad Mini for the Tweeple out there, and being entered to win is beyond easy. Entering, in fact, consists of two whole steps, and can be accomplished in under two minutes. So ask yourself, do you really need to go to the bathroom right this second, or can you hold it and get the chance for a piece of Apple’s finest?

The first step is to Follow RateDiary on Twitter. What’s that gonna cost you? Nothing! And you get to stay on the edge of any developments we have concerning RateDiary and what is going on with us, from contests to features to site improvements and special offers. And really, are you still just thinking about following us at this point?

The second step actually gives you two choices! You must either Retweet one of our Tweets from the official RateDiary Twitter page, or mention @RateDiary in a Tweet of your own. More (re)Tweets do not equal more chances to win, the Tweeter who shrills from the highest tree branch for hours on end will have the same chance as someone who quietly chirps once. Although, you know, we would thoroughly enjoy creative Tweets, and might even collect the most interesting ones into a list to display.

So, to recap

  1. Follow us on Twitter
  2. Retweet one of our posts OR mention @RateDiary.

This contest has a deadline! On May 15, 2013 the clock stops, and we scour the web for all Tweeple who have completed the two simple tasks we have assigned them. All those usernames go into a fancy hat (if you think we’re kidding, we’re not, we have a fancy hat for this) and one is pulled out. That person is the winner!

This is our second contest, and we’re thrilled to see where this could go. Help us make this a smashing success by following along on this adventure. Buckle your seatbelts, it’s gonna be a ride!

RateDiary Facebook Contest

RateDiary Facebook Contest

EDIT: AS OF 2/25/13 THIS CONTEST HAS BEEN REPLACED BY THE BLOG APPLE IPAD FACEBOOK DRAWING.

So get this, you know the whole RateDiary thing? We really want to kick it off, and kick it off big. So we’re starting out with a contest, giving away a free iPad.

You heard us right. We’re giving one person a free iPad.

We won’t say that person’s a lucky winner, ‘cause there’s no luck involved, just determination and a passion for RateDiary.

Here’s how it works.

The first thing you have to do is LIKE us on Facebook. Pretty simple, right? Just a click, and you’re already through the first step.

Second step isn’t too difficult either. You gotta head on over to www.RateDiary.com and sign up as a consumer. It’s completely free to consumers, and always will be.

Third step is a little harder, but honestly? We think you’re more than capable of it. You need to generate business referrals. Basically what that means, is that you print out a voucher inviting a business to join RateDiary. Not sure how? Don’t worry, we’ll be posting instructional videos soon, and you can always call 1-866-3REVIEW – (373-8439) or ask us how on our contact page.

So, you take the voucher, and in your most polite, non-threatening, and collected tone of voice explain the idea behind RateDiary, and offer it to the business to join. Please do not come up to them, shove the voucher in their face, scream random syllables, and run. Let them know there’s a special deal if they sign up before we finish the Mobile App!

Once you get 20 businesses to actually sign up, you’re almost there! How will we know which one has signed up because of you? Well, make sure they know about the specific code on the voucher you hand them, it will not only identify YOU as the reason they signed up, but you will receive $20 in your RateDiary account for each business that joins!

So, what do you need to do to complete the contest? You need to find 5 businesses that have signed up, purchase something, and ask them if you can review their establishment for a few RateDollars. Using the RateDollar voucher, and the special code on it, you leave these 5 businesses each a review and a rating.

So, just to summarize

  1. Like our Facebook
  2. Join RateDiary as a consumer
  3. Get 20 businesses to sign up
  4. Leave 5 reviews/ratings

There is no special drawing, or random lottery. And nobody will hop the inside track on you, or in real-people speech, RateDiary Team members and their families can not participate in these contests. We would love to, but we’re not fond of handcuffs or orange jumpsuits. The first person to reach all these criteria wins a free iPad, pure and simple. If you think you’ve met all the qualifications, shoot us an email at contest@ratediary.com and we’ll see if you’re our first ever RateDiary contest winner.

Yes, we said first. Did you really think we wouldn’t have more of these? If you don’t catch it this time, just wait. We’ve got so much more in store for you.

RateDiary LAUNCH!

Hey folks, guess what, we’ve got huge news!

Are you ready for this?

Are you really ready?

Are you sitting down and relaxed?

Because this is the biggest news to hit the internet in the last decade.

RATEDIARY HAS LAUNCHED!

I know, I know, “What is RateDiary?” You’re asking yourself, “I’ve never heard of this.” True, maybe you’re not that excited cause we’ve kept it pretty hush hush, but we’ve been working on this forever, slaving over a dial-up connection in a dimly lit shack for months on end, making sure it’s just right for you. So, as you can guess, we are ecstatic to present you with the latest and greatest model of online business reviewing and reputation management on the market!

RateDiary’s mission is to completely change the dynamics of online reviews and reputation management. We’ve seen too many good businesses get reputation-bombed by someone who never even purchased from their company, or buy their way out of legitimate criticisms to make themselves look great. We also know how hard it is to get actual consumers to leave reviews, as they are rather busy people themselves and don’t have time to sit and leave a good write-up.

With this in mind, we have created a system that rewards consumers for the time they take to rate and review, while ensuring that ONLY legitimate customers (someone who has actually purchased from the business they are reviewing) are allowed to rate and review. So finally, businesses can benefit from an honest analysis of their products and service, and consumers are rewarded for their efforts.

We’ll be releasing a ton of information over the next few weeks, from instructional videos, to blogs about the features, to Facebook posts and Tweets. So keep an eye out on all channels of information, you never know what’s coming down the pipeline next at RateDiary!
